Random Number Generator

Generate one or more random numbers within a chosen range — useful for raffles, draws, games and simulations.

Choose the range

Choose the range and how many numbers you want, then press Generate.

=Result

Standard mathematical formulas. Instant in-browser calculation, no account. Exact results for the values you enter.

iHow it is calculated

Choose the minimum and maximum, how many numbers you want and whether they are whole. The generator produces pseudo-random values uniformly spread over the range:

number = min + random × (max min)

For a die: min 1, max 6 → a whole number between 1 and 6. For a raffle with 50 tickets: min 1, max 50.

?Frequently asked questions

How do I generate a random number?

Choose the range (minimum and maximum) and press Generate. The calculator produces a random number within the chosen range.

Can I generate several numbers at once?

Yes. Set the “How many” field and you get a list of random numbers (up to 1000).

How do I get a number between two values?

Enter the minimum and maximum; the generated number is always within this range, including the endpoints for whole numbers.

Are the numbers truly random?

They are pseudo-random, generated by the browser’s algorithm. Fine for games, raffles and simulations, but not for cryptography.

Can I generate decimal numbers?

Yes. Untick “Whole numbers” to get values with decimals within the chosen range.

How do I pick a raffle winner?

Number the participants, set minimum to 1 and maximum to their count, then generate one number — the winner’s position.

How do I simulate a dice roll?

Set minimum 1 and maximum 6 and generate a whole number. For two dice, ask for 2 numbers.

Can the generated numbers repeat?

By default yes — each number is drawn independently, so a list can contain repeats. Tick “No repeats (unique)” to draw distinct values instead (like a raffle without replacement); the count is then capped at how many whole numbers the range holds.
