iHow it is calculated
Pick a country and the tool loads its official public holidays (UK bank holidays by nation, Romania's legal days, Turkey's national and religious holidays) and subtracts the ones that fall on a working day, alongside the weekend. You can choose which weekdays count as the weekend, include or exclude the endpoints, and switch to the "add business days" mode to find the date N working days after a start date:
net working days = calendar days − weekend days − public holidays
Between 1 January and 31 March 2026 there are 90 calendar days: about 65 are Mon–Fri, then the public holidays falling on weekdays (New Year, and country-specific days) are removed to give the net business-day count.

?Frequently asked questions
How are working days between two dates calculated?
It counts all Monday-to-Friday days in the interval, excluding Saturdays and Sundays. For example, between 1 January and 31 March 2026 there are about 65 working days.
How are public holidays subtracted?
Choose a country and the tool loads its official public holidays automatically and removes the ones that land on a working day. For the UK you can pick England & Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, since bank holidays differ. You can also turn the holiday exclusion off.
Are both ends of the interval included?
By default yes — the start and end dates count if they are working days. Two toggles let you exclude either endpoint, which is handy for deadline and notice-period rules.
How many weekend days are in the interval?
The result shows separately how many Saturday and Sunday (weekend) days are in the chosen period.
How many working days does a typical month have?
On average 21–23 working days. For example, a 30-day month starting on Monday has 22 working days.
How many working days are there in a year?
In 2026 there are about 251 working days before subtracting public holidays, i.e. around 250 minus the legal days off that do not fall on a weekend.
What are working days used for?
Payroll, leave, delivery deadlines, notice periods and any “business day” terms in contracts.
Do they differ from calendar days?
Yes. Calendar days include everything (weekends too), while working days count only Monday–Friday. Many legal deadlines are expressed in working days.
