Indicative rates, not financial advice. Exchange rates come from the European Central Bank (via frankfurter.app) and update every business day; crypto prices from coinlore. For a real transaction, your bank or provider applies its own rate and fee. Instant in-browser calculation, no account, no data sent.

iHow it is calculated
The converted amount is the starting amount multiplied by the rate between the two currencies. The cross rate between any two currencies is derived using the euro as the pivot, and cryptocurrencies pass through the dollar before converting to your chosen currency.
For £100 at a GBP/USD rate of 1.27 you get $127. Conversely, $127 ÷ 1.27 = £100. The EUR/GBP rate applies the same way: €100 × 0.85 = £85.

?Frequently asked questions
Where do the exchange rates come from?
From the European Central Bank (ECB) reference rates, fetched via the frankfurter.app API — the same rates the ECB publishes daily for 25+ major currencies. Cryptocurrency prices come from coinlore.
How often do the rates update?
The ECB publishes one set of reference rates each business day, at around 16:00 CET. The converter uses the latest available publication; on weekends and holidays it keeps the last business-day rate. Crypto prices refresh every couple of minutes.
Can I convert cryptocurrencies too?
Yes. You can convert between Bitcoin, Ethereum and other major coins and any currency in the list. The conversion goes through the US dollar (crypto is priced in USD), then into your chosen currency at the ECB rate.
Is this the rate my bank gives me?
No. The ECB rate is a reference, mid-market rate. Banks, bureaux de change and card networks apply their own rate, usually with a spread (margin) and sometimes a fee. Use the converter for an estimate, not the exact value of a transaction.
How much is 100 euros in pounds?
It depends on the day's rate. At an EUR/GBP rate of about 0.85, €100 ≈ £85. Enter the amount in the converter for the exact figure at the current rate.
What is a cross rate?
It is the rate between two currencies worked out through a third. Because the ECB publishes every rate against the euro, USD/GBP is obtained by dividing GBP/EUR by USD/EUR. The converter does this automatically for any pair.
How many currencies are available?
Over 30 currencies (euro, US dollar, pound sterling, Swiss franc, yen, yuan, złoty, and more), plus the major cryptocurrencies. Search by code (USD) or by name (dollar) in the list.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The amounts you enter are calculated directly in your browser. Only the rates are fetched from the server (cached) — never your values.
