Accuracy, sources and updates
How accurate are the results on calcula·live?
Results are computed with the official formulas in force and are generally accurate for standard cases. They are, however, informational estimates: special situations (exemptions, special deductions, multiple incomes) can differ. For official decisions, verify with a professional or the relevant authority.
Are the tax figures updated for 2026?
Yes. calcula·live uses the rates in force in 2026: standard VAT 21% and reduced VAT 11% (since 1 August 2025), income tax 10%, social contributions CAS 25% and CASS 10%, and a gross minimum wage of 4,325 RON. When the law changes, we update the default values.
Can I use the results for official filings or for ANAF?
No. Results on calcula·live are informational estimates and do not replace tax, legal or medical advice. For official filings, contracts or important decisions, verify the figures with a licensed accountant, a lawyer, your doctor, or directly with ANAF or the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
Where do the formulas and data come from?
The formulas are based on official sources: the Romanian Fiscal Code and Civil Code, the rates published by ANAF, the minimum wage set by government decision and, for exchange rates, BNR references. Each page shows the formula and an example so you can check the calculation yourself.
How often is the content updated?
We review the rates and formulas regularly, especially at the start of the fiscal year and after major legislative changes. The date of the last review is marked in each page’s structured data, and the default values reflect the current law.
